Projekt “W”
“Phase 1″ is the first release of Projekt “W”. In order to give you a chance to play the game before I implemented my whole vision I decided to split the release in two phases. “Phase 1″ is a full game (no demo, there are no restrictions or limitations) and it’s just missing some things that I’m implementing for the final “Phase 2″-release (no releae date yet, but I hope to get it done in late 2009 or early 2010). Some of the things that will be added in “Phase 2″ :
•Additional buildings
There will be a lot more buildings, mostly buildings that are specific to a single nation in order to even more tie a player to a nation’s identity. In addition to that there’ll also be additional buildings that can be build by all nations including buildings that’ll automatically manage a region (constructing new buildings and trying to balance the region).
•Additional military units
There will be about twice as much military units in the final version including a lot of units specific to the different nations. There will also be more upgraded units that need to be researched together with some totally new units.
•Extended technology tree
The technology tree in the demo isn’t that huge but the one for the final version will be extended in a way that player’s will be able to research different technologies during a whole game instead of having everything researched long before the game is finished.
•Manual battles
A hexagonal battlefield will be added (full 3D, with rotatable camera and different environmental settings) which let’s you control your units when attacking a region, turn by turn. This will be optional so you can still have the attacks calculated automatically.
•Global projects
Give your people one huge goal to achieve in order to make your nation stand-out against all the others. Choose out of a dozen (or maybe more) different global projects that’ll give you an edge over your competition but which will also cost you a lot. You need nuclear weapons or espionage satellites? You’ll find them here!
•Overhauled espionage and sabotage
Espionage (and sabotage) didn’t have much impact on the gameplay in “Phase 1″, so this game section will be completly redone for “Phase 2″ to make them much more important.
•Different game modes

In addition to the hotseat mode from the demo there will also be support for games over LAN and internet.modes make up for a better replaying value. Planned are modes with random start points, end-time mode and more.
•Better AI
This is the first complex “AI” I ever wrote for a game and it’s not doing that bad. But it’s not the smartest one and if you’re a good player it won’t be very hard to beat. So for “Phase 2″ the AI will be more advanced to give you a harder challenge.
•Stock market exchange
This adds another way of getting more ressources, combined with all the risks of trading at a stock market. It includes over a dozen different companies whose stocks the player can buy and sell in order to gain ressources.
