Nuevos juegos de AGEOD

Mensaje por pailleterie »

Sacado del foro de AGEOD:

"OK guys, I think you deserve to get the prime, here are our plans:

January:

Wicked defense: A strategy and puzzle game

http://www.wicked-defense.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Your mission is to protect the exit from being reached by monsters. If
the monsters are able to penetrate your defenses and reach the exit,
you lose life points.

To defend the exit, you can build several towers , each with its own
characteristics and special abilities. You customize the built towers
by improving their capabilities, like burning effect, number of firing
rays, etc., and pick one of the targeting strategies. You can also
cast powerful magic spells directly at the ennemy.

The monsters have their unique special abilities, being able to heal
each other, speed up their buddies and even clone themselves.

After a carefull analyse of the map, the aim for you is to design your
own and wicked defensive strategy...

The game is really user friendly, with a very nice graphic touch. Very
easy to understand, I've been playing it regularly between two long
campaigns and very often find myself engulfed, trying all kind of new
defensive strategies for hours.

This game is not an historical wargame, as you may have guessed.
However it's an excellent puzzle game, combining intense reflexion,
startegy and fast paced (pausable) action. We wanted our community to
discover it and the puzzle game community to discover our games )

Release: January 17th

Montjoie: Historical PC Boardgame

http://www.montjoiegame.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
(english version available soon)

"Montjoie!!!" was the French knights war cry during the Hunderd Years
war.
Montjoie proposes you to play this intense conflict that shaped
werstern europe. We could have called it "Birth of France" but the dev
team had another idea )

Tchounga is a new studio. It looks very much like AGE Studio (AGEod
original studio). Pascal Bernard, the game designer, comes from the
Boardgame industry just like Philippe Thibaut. The Tchounga team is
made of passionate gamers, and you can feel it in the attention they
put in quality details. Like AGE Studio, they are fond of history and
Montjoie comes with a huge historical database about the Hundred Years
War. AGEod is very proud to welcome them.

Montjoie mechanisms come from the boardgame. Don't expect a proper
Historical wargame. Expect an EXCELLENT historical boardgame. However,
Montjoie is simple and efficient.
Features:
- Aesthetic 3D engine
- Turn based
- Card driven actions
- Very competente AI (I had my a.. served on a plate numerous time!)
- Multiplayer supported
- Various diplomatic actions

A demo in English will be made available soon.

ETA: End January 2008

As says Philippe Thibaut: "AGEod future is in the access to a broader
community. By producing quality games we will build strong links of
thrust with our customers. However, we need to produce more games, we
need to offer different games to attract different players and let
them discover our catalog. AGEod ambition is to become a key quality
strategy games provider".

I love when he speaks like that, it makes me dream about a better
wage )

But YOU, You guys from the War-Historical Newgroup, you want the real
Mac Coy, and here its:

ETA Q1 2008: Birth of America 2

More conflicts covered
More units
More historical units
More historical events
Improved scenarios for the French and Indian War and the Independence
War
More political, diplomatic, economic and military options
(recruitment...)
Bigger map

BoA will keep the unique hand drawn graphisms, BoA 2 will keep the
simple and elegant mechanisms that made its success. BoA will remain
BoA but you can expect a game that will offer more of BoA and has
taken full benefits from the AACW and NCP experience.

ETA Q3 2008: European theater secret project (sorry Eddy...)

Yes, the AGE Studio has not yet finished BoA2 that we are already
working on a new game. The war covered is still secret (we never
anounce our games before they reach Beta phase) but we're sure you'll
like it. It'll use a custom version of the BoA 2 engine.

ETA Q1 2009: Vainglory of Nations

Our next big game, the mother of all the monster games we plan
(Napoleon's Grand campaign game, World War 2 game, etc.)

Vainglory will offer you a brand new version of the AGE engine:
Diplomacy, Economy, Pre-Modern warfare, etc...

An ambitious project that will need all of Philippe Malacher and
Philippe Thibaut attention for a full year of work.

Finally, we are considering working on other projects... more
exotic... But money and time will be the real constraint. We are also
discussing with other Dev teams, indenpendent friends that share our
values. More news later!!!"
